Anxiety is a prevalent mental health disorder marked by intense feelings of worry, anxiety, or fear that can significantly disrupt daily life. Common types of anxiety disorders encompass panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Individuals may experience symptoms such as disproportionate stress levels in response to events, persistent inability to alleviate worry, and a constant sense of restlessness.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like worrying. Sometimes, it can show up as disturbed sleep, stomach problems, or irritability. Some people procrastinate, others overwork.

Specifically, children can struggle to focus and might display signs of hyperactivity and restlessness. Their sleep patterns may be disrupted, accompanied by increased perspiration, fatigue, and physical complaints like stomachaches, muscle aches, and headaches. They can also have anxiety about interacting with adults or peers may be shown by crying, having temper tantrums, clinging to parents, or refusing to speak in social situations.

Regardless of how anxiety presents itself in your life, my interventions utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and/or Mindfulness are designed to assist you in regaining confidence and freedom from the grips of anxiety.

If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule an intake session. The initial 60-minute session will focus on getting to know you and gathering information. We'll set goals based on your values and priorities. I'll create a treatment plan to help you reach them.

step three

We'll meet weekly for 50-minute sessions to establish steady progress in our work together. This frequency provides us with a consistent rhythm to delve into your concerns and goals. However, I am flexible and open to exploring different session schedules based on your preferences and needs. Our collaborative efforts aim to support you in feeling more empowered and connected to your values and aspirations.
