Childhood trauma refers to any dangerous, violent, or frightening event—such as abuse, neglect, or household dysfunction—commonly known as an adverse childhood experience (ACE), that an individual encounters before reaching the age of 18. Adverse events early in life can have long-lasting effects on an individual's overall well-being and can increase the likelihood of developing various physical and mental health issues later on. These problems include alcoholism, depression, drug abuse, eating disorders, obesity, high-risk sexual behaviors, smoking, suicide, and certain chronic diseases.

It is crucial to address these issues early and provide appropriate support to mitigate their impact on future health outcomes. Being trauma-informed and using various behavioral therapies to fit each individual’s unique needs, I’ll assist you help improving mood symptoms, social skills, behavioral concerns, negative thoughts, and even physical symptoms.

If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule an intake session. The initial 50-minute session will focus on getting to know you and gathering information. We'll set goals based on your values and priorities. I'll create a treatment plan to help you reach them.

step three

We'll meet weekly for 50-minute sessions to establish steady progress in our work together. This frequency provides us with a consistent rhythm to delve into your concerns and goals. However, I am flexible and open to exploring different session schedules based on your preferences and requirements. Our collaborative efforts aim to support you in feeling more empowered and connected to your values and aspirations.
