I accept all major credit cards for payment. Currently, I do not accept insurance. However, if your insurance plan provides out-of-network coverage, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. To facilitate this process, I can provide you with a detailed receipt known as a Superbill (itemized receipt), which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Before proceeding, I advise reaching out to your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage details and benefit eligibility. You can ask the following questions:

• “I am interested in seeing an out-of-network Clinical Social Worker. Does my plan provide reimbursement for out-of-network providers?” If yes, follow up with the following questions:

• How many sessions does my plan cover?

• Is Telehealth covered?

• What is my deductible, and has it been met?

• What is the coverage amount per session?

• Do I need pre-authorization from my insurance company or PCP?

• Do I have a co-payment for out-of-network therapy?

• How many therapy sessions a year are covered?

• Can you walk me through the steps for submitting my superbill?

• How long can I expect to wait to be reimbursed?

It depends on various factors. When it comes to working with children, I typically lean towards conducting in-person appointments. This allows me to thoroughly assess their capacity to engage effectively in online sessions before transitioning to virtual services. For teens and young adults, online sessions can be an option if appropriate. When online services are used, I do provide a HIPP-compliant video platform in the state of Virginia.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please do so at least 24 hours before your appointment to allow me ample time to offer the slot to another client. Failure to provide this notice will result in a $60 fee being charged for the session. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and exceptions to this policy are always made for emergencies, illness, and hazardous driving conditions to ensure your well-being.
